gcin-gtk2-immodule software package provides GTK2 input method module with gcin as backend, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gcin-gtk2-immodule
gcin-gtk2-immodule is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gcin-gtk2-immodule package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gcin-gtk2-immodule *
You will get with gcin-gtk2-immodule package name, version, architecture and description in a table
